Coastal Angel

A fresh sipper with beautiful herbaceous notes of juniper and green tea, bright zesty lemon, and a delicate rose finish.

Flavour Profile: Fruity, Herbaceous, Sour, Sweet

Difficulty: Medium

Ingredients:

  • 1.5oz Sheringham Seaside Gin
  • 2 tsp Angelwater Tea from Silk Road
  • 3 Drops Rose Water
  • 4 Drops Lemon Bitters
  • .5 oz Lemon Oleo Sacchrum*
  • 2.5 oz Soda Water
  • 5 Lemons Peeled*
  • 10 oz White Sugar*

Method:

Add everything except the soda water to a shaker tin over ice and stir until well chilled. Strain into your glass over a large ice cube, top with soda water.

*Lemon Oleo Sacchrum Method:

Add your lemon peels and sugar into an airtight container and shake until the peels are completely covered. Allow to sit, shaking occasionally until all the sugar is dissolved and you are left with a rich yellow lemon syrup. Strain out the peels and store in a clean canning jar in the fridge for up to one month.

Meet Avery, a purveyor of craft cocktails and all things strange. Avery has always been passionate about food and flavor combinations. Her love of experimenting turned from cooking to mixology in university as she discovered the diverse world of craft distilling. After witnessing the fusion of art and science in the craft spirit industry, her passion was ignited. Since then, she has devoted her time to expanding her knowledge and perfecting her craft. Upon graduation, Avery focused on her new venture, Nonsensical Cocktails. Inspired to make cocktails more accessible to newcomers in the mixology scene, she strives to incorporate as many local products as possible, showcasing that creating beautiful and unique cocktails doesn't require formal mixology training. Alongside her Nonsensical Cocktails project, she delved into furthering her understanding of distilling. Starting out in tasting rooms and crafting cocktails for distilleries, her expertise and dedication led her towards the path of becoming a distiller herself. After years of hard work and commitment to the industry, her perseverance paid off when she was officially offered a position as a distiller. In her spare time, Avery continues to experiment with new techniques and flavors, both for cocktails and new distilled spirits, further solidifying her reputation as a dynamic force in the world of craft beverages.
